Common questions
Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions. If you still can't find what you're looking for, feel free to call us for more information:(800)-356-9796.
Common questions
If my plane is delayed and I miss my transport, do I lose my ticket?
No. If you miss transportation due to flight connections, call the office immediately and let them know. They will book you on the next available bus at no additional cost.
Due to airport regulations and security, as well as other passengers traveling, we are unable to wait more than 5 minutes after your scheduled departure time. As soon as your flight lands, call the office or go directly to the bus to let the driver know you are there. If we know you are at the airport, the driver will wait up to 5 minutes. If you are not ready to leave at that time, call the office and they will schedule the next available shuttle for you.
What happens if my plans change and I can't take the bus I was scheduled to take?
As long as you call the office at least one day before your scheduled departure, you can reschedule for another date and/or time. If you don't know when you can travel, we'll mark the reservation as a credit on your file. These reservations will be valid for 6 months from the original date of purchase. If the reservation is rescheduled a second time, there will be a processing fee.
Do you cancel a schedule if you don't have enough passengers?
No. We do not cancel times after booking. However, we reserve the right to cancel a schedule 48 hours in advance if there are no reservations for that specific transfer service.
How much baggage can I take?
We allow the same as airlines: two suitcases and one carry-on bag. If you are bringing more luggage, extra-large or odd-sized luggage (including skis/snowboards), please contact the office for special handling.(Additional fees may apply.)
Can I bring a bicycle?
Yes. We just need at least 24 hours notice and it will be an additional $10.
I see that children are free. What is the cutting age?
Babies up to 24 months old do not pay. Children 25 months to 12 years old are eligible for the child rate with a paid adult rate.
I would like to send my youngest son alone on the ferry. Do you allow it?
Yes. Indicate in the notes the age of the minor. We also need valid contact information in case no one shows up at the destination to pick up the minor.
I have a baby who needs a car seat. Do you provide any or do I need to bring mine?
Due to insurance requirements, we are no longer able to provide any type of car or booster seat. You must provide your own.
What are the opening hours?
Our office is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are only closed on Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Can I pay the driver or do I have to pay in advance?
Seats are not guaranteed until full payment is made; however, if there is an empty seat at the time of departure, you may pay the full fare for that seat to the driver.
Do I need a ticket? There's no time for you to send me one.
No, we use electronic ticketing. The driver will have a manifest with the names of all passengers. Check with the driver: If there is a problem, the driver will contact the office. It is useful to print out the confirmation email that will be sent to you after booking and bring it with you for boarding.
What is the policy for children?
Customers may choose to allow a minor (under 18 years of age) to travel with the Salt Lake Express unsupervised. However, in the reservation, before it is processed, the following is required: 1. Names and telephone numbers of the person who delivers and receives it; 2. Minor's cell phone number, if applicable.
What is the pet policy?
Pets must be in a rigid carrier and remain in the carrier at all times while on the bus. Roof racks are stored with luggage (in the back of the van, in the trailer or in the trunk of the bus). There is an additional charge of $10.00. Service dogs can stay with passengers.
Policies
Below is a list of all of our policies. If you still cannot find the information you are looking for, feel free to call us for more information:(800)-356-9796.
child policy
Customers may choose to allow a child under the age of 18 to ride the Salt Lake Express unsupervised. All children traveling without an adult pay the full adult rate. Salt Lake Express will require the following from the parent/guardian; This information must be included in your reservation before it can be processed:
- The names and phone numbers of the person who dropped off the child, as well as the person who picked up the child.
- Minor's cell phone number, if applicable. Cell phones are highly recommended for children traveling alone, especially if the child changes buses or stops in a connecting city.
In addition, children traveling by shuttle must carry identification that shows the name, address, home phone number, name and phone number of the person who will drop them off, and the name and phone number of the person picking them up. them up.
Parents and guardians should review travel details with their child prior to travel, including the bus route they will be traveling on and where they will board and exit the bus. It is also suggested that this information be given to them in writing, as there are a number of routes and connection points that can confuse a young child in the excitement of the journey.
Individuals picking up a child must coordinate a specific location at the destination point where they will find the child. Children under the age of 13 must never be left unattended, even if the person who picks them up is on the way.
Our drivers arenoresponsible for minor children. The minor is responsible for getting on and off the bus at the correct time and place. Our drivers will be happy to advise or help if requested, but they cannot supervise minors during the entire journey. We want to make sure customers are aware of this.
